(RV) Braves win 3-0 over Men’s Soccer Falcons

Ottawa, Kan. – Slobodan Novicevic had a hand in all three goals of a 3-0 win for the (RV) Ottawa University Braves over the Friends University Falcons in KCAC action tonight (Oct. 18) in Ottawa, Kan.

The setback puts the Falcons in the fifth spot in the KCAC with a 5-2-3 conference record.

Novicevic got things started by putting the Braves on the board with an unassisted goal at the 23:31 mark of the first half.

It remained a one-goal match much of the way until a late flurry by the Braves resulted in Novicevic assisting on a score from Bence Molnar at the 86:22 mark before scoring his second goal of the night in the 89th minute to finish off the win for Ottawa.

The Falcons were outshot 15-9 overall and 7-4 on-goal, led by three shots from Alvaro Quezada and a pair of shot attempts from Jose Lapentty. Molnar paced the Braves with four shots, with all four attempts on-goal.

Felipe Garcia made four saves for the Falcons (6-5-4, 5-2-3 KCAC), with three goals allowed. Marko De Sa Faira recorded four saves in the shutout win for Ottawa (10-3-1, 9-1 KCAC).
