WICHITA, Kan. – Friends University junior forward Taylor Jackson has been named to the 2023-24 KCAC Women's Basketball Preseason Team, the conference office announced today (Oct. 12).
An interior force since arriving on campus, Jackson earned third-team All-KCAC recognition and was an all-conference defensive team selection last season after leading the NAIA in blocks per game (3.5 bpg) along with 11.4 points per game and 10.4 rebounds.
A native of Houston, Texas, Jackson is now the Falcons' modern-era career leader in blocks with 204 swats for her career.
In the KCAC postseason tournament last year, Jackson provided her typical, stout defensive effort with a double-double of 16 points and 16 rebounds to help the Falcons win in the semifinal round at Ottawa University and clinch the program's first appearance in the conference tournament title game since the 2017-18 season.
Jackson and the Falcons will begin the new season on Oct. 28 at Hastings College before hosting Barclay College in the "Quaker Classic" on Oct. 31 inside the Garvey Center.
