KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Friends University Women's Basketball Falcons will be the sixth seed at the upcoming NAIA First and Second Round in the Naismith Quadrant inside the Garvey Center. This is the first NAIA National Championship appearance for the Falcons since the 2017-18 season.
The action starts Friday (Mar. 13) with third-seeded Corban (Ore.) facing No. 14-seed Texas A&M-San Antonio at noon, followed by the Falcons tilt against 11th seeded Hastings College at 2 pm. The winner of each game will then square off Saturday (Mar. 14) at 2 pm with a trip to the Round of 16 in Sioux City, Iowa at stake.
The Falcons clash with Hastings will be a rematch of a regular season classic that saw Friends prevail 104-102 in double-overtime back on Nov. 5.
Under head coach Dean Jaderston, the Falcons are 24-6 and were tied for second in the KCAC with a 17-5 conference record.
