Friends University

Robin Johnson enters his 24th year at Friends University and his 22nd year as head athletic trainer.

The 2014-15 KCAC Athletic Trainer of the Year, Johnson has became a staple at Friends University for the top-notch training and services he provides. 

Johnson is originally from Shelby, Ohio. He received his bachelor’s degree in athletic training from Capital University in Columbus, Ohio. He made his way to Kansas to obtain his master’s in education with an emphasis in biomechanics and sports psychology from the University of Kansas. While there, he worked with football, baseball and women’s soccer. Prior to coming to Friends, Robin spent two years with McPherson College as the head athletic trainer.

He resides in Wichita, Kan., with his wife Michelle, son Zachary and daughter Skylar.
