Levi Convirs is in his eighth season as Sports Information Director at Friends University.
Convirs serves as the media liaison for each sport and oversees athletic department publications, social media sites along with managing statistics and live streaming efforts for all home events. He was recently voted as the Friends University SALT Faculty/Staff Member of the Month for October.
Last year, Convirs oversaw the transition of the athletic department website to Sidearm Sports.
In 2020, Convirs facilitated a new athletic podcast titled "Talking with Friends" that was available on Apple iTunes and Spotify while leading the change to BlueFrame Technology as a new live stream provider along with the transition in stat programs to PrestoSports that same year.
A native of Wyandotte, Okla., Convirs came to Friends after serving seven years as the SID at Mid-America Christian University in Oklahoma City.
At MACU, Convirs handled media relation duties for all sports, including promotional efforts for the 2015-16 Men's Basketball NAIA National Championship team.
He has received nine NAIA-SIDA writing and publication awards, with six top-five finishes.
Prior to MACU, Convirs was the Assistant SID at Missouri Southern State University for five years and was also a Graduate Assistant SID at Missouri State University for one season.
He is a current member of CoSIDA and NAIA-SIDA.
Convirs received his Bachelor's Degree from MSSU in 2002 and his Associate's Degree from Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College in 2000.
Convirs and his wife Michelle, along with their three sons, Matthew (19, Luke (16) and Peyton (12), reside in Goddard, Kan.
