Dale Faber

Former head men's basketball head coach Dale Faber is now in his fourth year as the department's new Assistant AD for Development, where he has assumed a major fundraising role. 

Faber's impact has already been felt in revenue generated while serving as a major catalyst for hosting major outside events on campus. 

The Falcon coaching legend was recently inducted into both the Wichita Sports Hall of Fame and the Friends University Athletics Hall of Fame. 

Faber is already making an impact in his new position, having been instrumental in the development of a partnership with Supplement World that provides a refueling station for student-athletes. 

A two-time KCAC Coach of the Year, Faber finished with an overall record of 299-250, with a 206-134 mark in KCAC play during in his tenure at Friends. He also guided the Falcons to four KCAC Tournament Championships and a pair of KCAC Regular Season Championships.

In the 2018-19 campaign, Faber guided the Falcons to their first NAIA National Tournament berth since the 2014-15 season.

That edition of the Falcons finished third in the KCAC while crossing the 20-win plateau at 22-10 overall.

Faber also coached and developed three KCAC Players of the Year, a pair of Defensive Players of the Year and one Freshman of the Year.

Postseason appearances were a regular occurrence under Faber, as he has guided the program to seven NAIA National Tournament appearances overall. 

Faber and his wife of 34 years, Stacey, live in Wichita.
