Alicia Hines joins the coaching staff as a student assistant after finishing her senior year on varsity at Friends University during the 2014-15 season. While at Friends she was on the Athletic Director's Honor Roll. She is also a qualifier for KAHPERD.
Alicia has played collegiate basketball at every level, Division 1 (Florida A&M University) NAIA (Friends University), and Junior College (Broward College). She’s originally from West Palm Beach, Fla.
Her senior year at Friends, Hines played in 31 games, starting 17. She averaged 4.7 points and 2.7 rebounds per game. Hines led the team with 68 assists (2.2apg) and added in 1.5 steals per game. She ranked 10th in the KCAC in assists and 15th in steals.
In December 2015, Alicia will earn her Bachelor’s degree in Health & Physical Education.
Alicia is excited to be a part of the coaching staff. Coach Hines is looking forward to starting her coaching career. In addition she wants to pursue her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy and be a certified personal trainer.
