Friends University

Ashley Gonzalez enters her second season as an assistant coach for the Friends University volleyball program.

Gonzalez comes to Friends after spending a year as a volunteer assistant coach at Newman University and produced a trio of All-conference players.

Before beginning her career in coaching, Gonzalez was the Heartland Conference Player of the Year in 2015 at Newman. She also earned AVA All-American Honorable Mention honors and ranked fourth in the NCAA-DII in kills. 

Gonzalez graduated from Newman with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education.
