Friends University

Renee Downey is in her first year as a graduate assistant intern coach for the Friends University softball program. 

A four-year player for the Falcons, Downey was third on the team in hitting (.310) this past season.

In 2018, Downey won a KCAC Gold Glove after recording a solid .958 fielding percentage at second base.

A terrific student-athlete, Downey is a two-time KCAC Scholar Athlete recipient.

Downey has finished her degree in Physical Education at Friends University and will be pursuing a Master's of Education degree.
