Box Score WINFIELD, Kan. - Friends University Women's Soccer opened KCAC play with a 1-0 victory over Southwestern College this evening (Sept. 16).
The Falcons and Drovers were scoreless through the first 45 minutes, but Friends increased the offensive pressure in the second half, recording nine shots and five corner kicks.

Kieley Aranda, who scored the game-winning goal at the 84:17 mark to give the Falcons their first conference win of the season.
Friends finished with 13 shots, including 11 on goal. Goalkeeper Camilla Apple made six saves to complete the shutout, marking the Falcons' third consecutive shutout.
Aranda led the Falcons with four shots, including three on goal and the game-winning goal, assisted by Hummel.
Taylor Dill and
Yaretzy Tejeda each recorded two shots, with both of their attempts coming on goal. Four other Falcons each added one shot, all of which were on target.
With the victory, Friends improves to 2-2-1 overall and 1-0 in KCAC play.
The Falcons will remain on the road Saturday (Sept. 19) when they travel to Salina, Kan., to take on Kansas Wesleyan University. Kickoff is set for 11 a.m.
