WICHITA, Kan. – Friends University junior running back Michael Lopez has been voted as the KCAC Special Teams Player of the Week, the conference office announced today (Sept. 14). All KCAC Player of the Week awards are sponsored by Athletic Solutions.

For the second straight week, Lopez took a return to the house, this time running back the opening kickoff of the second half 90 yards to paydirt in the No. 9-ranked Falcons' 83-24 victory at Bethel College on Saturday (Sept. 12).

A dangerous returner all night, Lopez's other kickoff return at Bethel went for 44 yards. The Wichita native also added 56 yards on the ground and a rushing touchdown.
