WICHITA, Kan. – The Friends University Falcons have been picked to finish 10th in the KCAC Volleyball Preseason Coaches' Poll, the conference office announced today (Aug. 14).
Defending KCAC regular season champion McPherson College was selected to repeat as conference champs with 11 first-place votes. Oklahoma Wesleyan University was right behind in second and snagged the remaining three first-place tallies.
Bethel College, Evangel University, and the University of Saint Mary rounded out the top five.
Under first-year head coach Kortney Cunningham, the Falcons return All-KCAC third-team selection Natalie Castillo, along with other top veterans such as Gabbie Taylor, Sofia Mekelburg and Grace McClintock.
The Falcons open the season at home with their Friends Invitational one week from today (Aug. 21) inside the Garvey Center featuring Oklahoma Panhandle State University, Evergreen State College, Peru State College and MidAmerica Nazarene University.
