KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Friends University Men's Basketball Falcons are in the NAIA Men's Basketball Championship Tournament for the second straight season and will be the sixth seed in the upcoming NAIA First and Second Round in the Duer Quadrant starting Friday night (Mar. 13) inside the Garvey Center.
The Falcons will start off with the No. 11-seed IU-Southeast (Ind.) Grenadiers at 8 pm Friday, with the No. 3-seeded Ave Maria (Fla.) Gyrenes facing the No. 14-seeded Texas A&M-Texarkana Eagles earlier at 6 pm. The winners of the two first games will play in the second round Saturday (Mar. 14) at 5 pm with a berth to the NAIA Round of 16 in Kansas City, Mo. on the line.
Under head coach Phil McClintock, the Falcons are 25-6 and came in second in both the KCAC regular season and postseason tournament to No. 3-ranked Oklahoma Wesleyan University.
