Oklahoma City, Okla. - Friends baseball looked to get over .500 for the first time since the series they had earlier this season against Graceland. The 19th ranked Evangels would eventually shut out the Falcons. MACU beat Friends 1-0 and collected their 2nd win over the Falcons this season.
There was not much action in this Tuesday (Feb. 24) matchup, however great pitching was involved on both sides.
Miles Stringer was the starter for the Falcons and pitched very well not giving up any earned runs on 3 innings pitched. MACU would grab the only run of the game due to a throwing error in the 2nd inning.
Max Van Dam and
Colby Turner would both pitch 2 innings for the Falcons.
The Falcon offense was very quiet today only grabbing 1 hit through the nine-inning ballgame, with an
Elijah Morales infield single in the 2nd. A bright spot for the Falcons recently has been the pitching. The Falcon staff has been a huge contributor keeping them in close games against teams receiving votes and even ranked teams such as MACU.
The Falcons will look forward to a weekend 4-game series against Hastings College on Friday (Feb. 27) and Saturday (Feb. 28). Both days will include doubleheaders and will be played here in Wichita at Westside Athletic field.
