WICHITA, Kan. – Friends University senior offensive lineman Cole Herman has been voted to the prestigious CSC Academic All-America team as a first-team selection, announced today (Jan. 27) and presented by the College Sports Communicators.
A Business Administration major, Herman received second-team All-KCAC honors after serving a critical position for an OL unit that paved the way for the Falcons to break their own NAIA single-season rushing record with 5,979 rushing yards this past season.
A Halstead, Kan. native, Herman helped the Falcons lead the entire nation in scoring (54.2 ppg) and make their first-ever NAIA FCS quarterfinal appearance.
Herman joined the Falcons last year and helped the team win their first KCAC championship since 2008 and is now a part of consecutive conference titles with the Falcons.
A solid student-athlete, Herman has also earned both NAIA and KCAC Scholar-Athlete honors during his time at Friends.
