KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Just hours after receiving the KCAC Special Teams Player of the Week honor, Friends University freshman kicker Truitt Bosher has added a prestigious national award to his name as he has now been selected as the NAIA Special Teams Player of the Week, announced today (Sept. 29) by the national office.
Bosher receives this recognition after putting together perhaps the best game of his career on Saturday (Sept. 27), connecting on all three of his field-goal attempts while going 6-of-6 on extra point attempts in the No. 7 Falcons' 53-0 romp of (RV) Evangel University. Bosher's three successful field goals included hitting from a career-high 42 yards.
The Burleson, Texas native also averaged 60.9 yards on 10 kickoff attempts in an all-around solid performance.
Bosher has made all five of his field-goal attempts this season and is 40-41 on extra-point attempts.
The Falcons will next play their final cross divisional game this Saturday (Oct. 4) at Ottawa University for a 1 pm kickoff in Ottawa, Kan.
