Box Score WICHITA, Kan. — The Friends University Falcons dominated the Bethany College Swedes 7-0 in Adair-Austin Stadium on Saturday (Sept. 27). The Falcons offense was relentless, with 36 shots and 15 of those coming on target. The Falcons were able to net seven goals, off seven assists.
Key contributors to the Falcons offense was
Kieley Aranda who recorded 4 shots, all which were on goal, contributing two goals. Aranda recorded one goal in the first half off the assist from
Alexa Fonseca, and a goal in the second, off an assist from
Anahi Ibarra-Arevalo.
Paige Putter contributed significantly to the Falcons offense with two goals off her three shots and an assist. Elisa Murrieta added a goal, taking five shots, three of which were on goal.
Pilar Flores contributed with a goal and an assist, converting one of her two shots on target. To cap off the dominant game,
Haliee Wisdom was able to find the back of the net off the assist from
Emaree Gibson at the 87:49 mark.
The Falcons defense also played a dominant game as they held Bethany without a single shot, resulting in a clean sheet for the Falcons.
The Falcons will travel to Leavenworth, Kan. next Wednesday (Oct. 1) to take on the University of Saint Mary Spires. The match will kickoff at 5:00 PM.
