Box Score Fremont, Neb. - The Friends University Falcons' first away game of the season (Aug. 30) was a 4-2 setback against the Midland Warriors today (Aug. 30) in Fremont, Neb. It was a hard fought defeat against a really defensive Warriors team on the road.

In the first half the Falcons were shutout and allowed two goals, the first goal was a rebound off of a save made by the Falcon goalkeeper, Juan Jose Echeverry, as Hugo Garcia-Rosado for the Warriors tapped it in to start the scoring in the 24th minute. Just shortly after the Warriors would score their second goal in the 28th minute.

Starting the second half the Warriors scored another goal by Tom Blaczek to make it 3-0. However, the Falcons brought some fight back in the 55th minute scoring their first goal off a penalty kick. Sora Shibata would then score for the Falcons and make that his first of the year. Four minutes later  Andres Michael, would drop a laser into the back of the net to make it 3-2 Warriors.

Unfortunately that would be the rest of the scoring for the Falcons this bout. At the 63rd minute the Warriors built their lead back up to two and that is how the second game of the season ended for the Falcons.

The Falcons drop their first two games of the season and look to bounce back at John Brown University (Ark.).

The game will be at Siloam Springs, Ark. on Sep 6 (Sat) 10:30 AM.
