KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Fresh off their best season of the modern era, the Friends University Falcons will begin the 2025 season at No. 12 in the NAIA Preseason Coaches' poll, the national office released today (Aug. 25).
The Falcons are the highest ranked KCAC school, two spots ahead of Southwestern College.
Grand View University, whom the Falcons narrowly fell to 21-17 in the NAIA FCS second round, start the season No. 1 after winning last year's national championship.
Heading into head coach Terry Harrison's fourth season at the helm, the Falcons won last year's KCAC Kessinger Division for their first conference title since 2008. The Falcons also went 11-2 last season for the program's most wins in the modern era while defeating OUAZ 47-35 to win their first-ever NAIA FCS playoff game.
The Falcons will now compete in the KCAC Bissell Division and are set to open up the 2025 campaign at home Saturday evening (Aug. 30) vs. Bethany College at Adair-Austin Stadium.
