KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Friends University junior Silva Avakian has been selected as an NAIA Women's Tennis All-America performer for the second straight season, this time as a third-team honoree, announced today (May 23) by the national office.
The 2023-24 KCAC Player of the Year and a second-team NAIA All-American, Avakian followed that up this season by earning first-team All-KCAC honors after going 17-9 as the No. 1 singles player for the Falcons.
The Pasadena, Calif. native also posted a 12-8 mark in the top doubles position during the 2024-25 season.
"Silva is an outstanding player and I'm looking forward to her her senior season being one of her best years," said Friends tennis head coach Alex Lee.
