WICHITA, Kan. – This past weekend, the Friends University Falcons continued preparations for the KCAC Championships by competing against schools from multiple levels at the KT Woodman Classic at Wichita State University.
Gabriela Millan provided a couple highlights with a PR in the Women's 100 Hurdles (14.78) and then a top five finish in the High Jump (1.50m).
Gema Del Valle also hit a PR in the Women's 400 Hurdles (1.08.96) for the Falcons.
On the men's side, Chad Payne hit a solid PR in the 200 meter run (22.89) while Mikkel Tarver ran the 200 for the first time since 2022 and produced a time of 23.04.
Veteran Dillon Boldt also hit PR's in both the 400 (55.24) and the 800 (2:06.20).
In the 1500 event, Hayden Basler achieved a PR of 4:28.91 and Spencer Hines recorded a PR of his own in the 400 Hurdles (56.47).
Both Falcon outdoor track & field programs are next slated to compete in both the Kansas Relays (Apr. 17-19) in Lawrence, Kan. and the Kansas Wesleyan Invitational (Apr. 18-19) in Salina, Kan.
