KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Friends University Falcons have climbed seven spots to No. 14 in the latest NAIA Coaches' Top 25 poll, released today (Dec. 17) by the national office.
Grace (Ind.) stands atop the poll with a perfect 11-0 record.
The Falcons have caught fire, winning five straight and nine of 10 games overall to move to 9-2 and 6-1 in the KCAC.
During the five-game win streak, the Falcons have a win over then No. 17-ranked Bethel College and are coming off a hard-fought 89-78 road victory over McPherson College last Saturday (Dec. 13).
Under third-year head coach Phil McClintock, the Falcons feature a balanced scoring attack led by Cahlese Lee at 15.5 ppg. Collin Maclin (13.5 ppg), Randy Woolf, Jr. (12.0 ppg) and Ringo Deng (11.0 ppg) are also averaging double-digit scoring for Friends this season.
The Falcons will next wrap up play ahead of the Christmas Break tomorrow (Dec. 18) at home vs. Hesston College at 2 pm.
