KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Friends University Falcons will be the fourth seed in their second consecutive appearance in the 2025 NAIA Football Championship Series (FCS), announced tonight (Nov. 16) during the selection show on the NAIA YouTube channel.
The Falcons receive a bye for the first round and will host a second-round game on Nov. 29 at Adair-Austin Stadium, with time and opponent TBA.
Under head coach Terry Harrison, Friends won its second consecutive KCAC division championship, this year finishing on top of the Bissell Division with a perfect 5-0 mark. The 11-0 Falcons also completed their first undefeated regular season since 2008 with a 69-3 victory at the University of Saint Mary yesterday.
The Falcons have established themselves as arguably the most balanced team in the NAIA, leading the nation in both points scored per game (57.5 ppg) and points allowed per game (10.8 ppg) this season.
In their first playoff appearance since 2008, the Falcons won their first-ever NAIA FCS game last season with a 47-35 victory over OUAZ in the opening round before being nipped 21-17 by eventual NAIA National Champion Grand View University.
