Siloam Springs, Ark. – The Friends University Women's Soccer Falcons will head to Siloam Springs, Ark. to make their fifth NAIA National Tournament appearance in the last seven years, announced tonight (Nov. 14) on the NAIA's YouTube channel. The Falcons will face (RV) Hastings College on Thursday in a first round matchup, game time is TBA.
No. 10-ranked John Brown University is the first and second round host and will play the winner of the Falcons/Hastings matchup on Saturday (Nov. 22) with a berth to the NAIA National Championship final site of Pensacola, Fla. on the line.
Hastings will be a familiar opponent for the Falcons, as the two teams played to a 0-0 draw earlier this season (Sept. 13) in Hastings, Neb.
Friends, the KCAC regular season runner-up at 10-1-2 in the league, played top-seeded and No. 5-ranked Oklahoma Wesleyan University to a 0-0 draw in the tournament championship game before falling in a penalty kick shootout.
The Falcons are 14-3-4 overall and had eight players earn All-KCAC honors, including Samantha Jones being named KCAC Newcomer of the Year and Solenn Levesque being selected as the top freshman in the league. The trio of Levesque, Kieley Aranda and Paige Putter also earned first-team recognition.
