Kansas City, Mo. - Friends Men's Soccer convincingly beat the Eagles of Avila earlier today with an offensive showcase. The Falcons caught fire in the late first half of this conference match up. As soon as Jayden Phrakonkham subbed in the game for the Falcons, the freshman scored his first goal of the season giving the Falcons a 1-0 lead. Just moments later Felipe Calderaro did it himself to end the half for the Falcons, scoring two goals in 28 seconds. This gave Friends a 3-0 lead going into halftime.
Avila answered back in the 55th minute with a penalty kick goal from Robert Davies bringing the Falcons lead down to two. The Falcons would seal the deal in the 69th minute with a goal from Freshman Juan Diego Alfaro. All goals in this game were unassisted and the final score was 4-1. This marked the first road win for the Falcons Men's Soccer team this season. The Falcons offense has kicked it up a notch with averaging 23 shots in their last six games.
Falcons (3-9-1) KCAC (3-4-1) have won two straight games and will take on Bethel in their next game. Kick off is on Saturday Oct. 18 at 1:30 PM. The game will be held at Thresher Stadium in North Newton, Kan.
