WICHITA, Kan. – The Friends University Football Falcons have placed the maximum eight student-athletes on the Academic All-District list, as selected by the College Sports Communicators, the organization has announced.
To be nominated for this award, the student-athlete must have a minimum 3.5 cumulative grade-point-average, be at least a sophomore in both academic and athletic standing and participate in 90 % of the team's games OR start at least 66 % of the team's games.
Those with the highest athletic credentials move on to the Academic All-America ballot, set to be announced on Jan. 28.

Under third-year head coach Terry Harrison, the Falcons won their first-ever NAIA FCS Playoff game and recorded their first 11-win season in the modern era while leading the nation in team rushing for the third straight year, with this season's output featuring an NAIA single-season record 5,351 rushing yards.
