Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Hooks, Texas -- The Texas A&M University-Texarkana Eagles rallied late to win the second game tonight (Jan. 31) 7-6 over the Friends University Falcons at Hooks HS in Hooks, Texas. The Eagles also won the opening game earlier today 9-4. 

Trailing the nightcap 1-0, Nijai Armbrister and Isaias Urriola each singled home two runs before an RBI double by Melwin Perez put the Falcons up 5-1. 

But after the Eagles came within 6-4, Austin Kerns hit a walk-off three-run homer in the seventh to give the Eagles the win. 

Armbrister and Carlos Rodriguez each had three hits in the second game for the Falcons.

The Falcons also found themselves down early in the opening tilt 4-0 following a three-run homer by Jose Parreno in the third. 

Urriola got the Falcons on the board with an RBI single in the fourth and then a three-run blast by last season's home run leader Zeke Henson squared the game at 4-4 in the fifth. 

But similar to the second game, it was Kerns providing the game-winning tallies with a two-run homer in the fifth that began a stretch of five unanswered runs by the Eagles to put it away. 

Henson went 2-of-4 for the Falcons (2-2) in the first game and Parreno drove in five runs for the Eagles. 

The two schools will wrap up the four-games series tomorrow (Feb. 1) with a doubleheader starting at 11 am.
