WICHITA, Kan. – The Friends University Falcons fell to the No. 18-ranked Mid-America Christian University Evangels 13-1 today in the regular season finale today (Apr. 23) at West Side Athletic Field.

Carlos Medina homered in the second inning to put the Evangels on the board and D'Andre Gaines doubled in a run to key a two-run third frame.

The Evangels then broke things open as a solo homer by Jacob Police and a three-run home run from Anthony Hampton powered a seven-run fourth inning.

Zeke Henson's team-leading 14th home run of the season put the Falcons (28-21) on the board in the bottom of the fourth, but Police's second homer of the game in the sixth helped the Evangels close out the win.

Gaines led the Evangels (33-10) with three hits and Taiga Sakuma scored three runs.

With the regular season now complete, the Falcons will turn their focus toward the upcoming KCAC Tournament, set for next week (May 1-4) in Great Bend, Kan. The tournament bracket will be announced this weekend.
