WICHITA, Kan. -- The Friends University Falcons fell for just the second time in KCAC play 77-69 to the McPherson College Bulldogs this evening (Dec. 14) inside the Garvey Center.
Trailing by three, Randy Woolf Jr. tied the game at 29-29 with a 3-pointer before McPherson edged out in front with a late basket by Tarrance Austin to secure a narrow 32-31 lead at the break.

Ring Deng began the second half and put the Falcons back on top. Much of the second half was close until six points from KJ Marshall and three-point plays by both Collin Storr and Antonio Watson keyed a 12-0 burst that gave the Bulldogs a 13-point cushion with 6:04 left. The Falcons managed to get as close as five on a layup by
Collin Maclin at the 1:49 mark, but six straight free throws by the Bulldogs put the game away.
KJ Spiller led the Falcons in scoring with 15 points and pulled down seven rebounds.
Cahlese Lee contributed 13 points and led the team with five assists along with six rebounds.
Ring Deng recorded two blocks and chipped in 10 points and a team-high eight boards.
Kee'on Hutton also scored in double-digits with 10 points for the Falcons (8-3, 5-2 KCAC).
Storr led the Bulldogs with 21 points, making six of nine shots and nine of ten free throws. He also had a double-double with 10 rebounds. Marshall recorded three blocks and two steals, while also leading the team with eleven rebounds. Curtis Rose and Tarrance Austin each scored 11 points for McPherson (4-7, 2-5 KCAC).

- The Falcons will next be at William Woods University on Tuesday afternoon (Dec. 17) at 1 pm in Fulton, Mo. before taking time off for the Christmas Break.
