Women’s Soccer Falcons, Braves play to scoreless draw

WICHITA, Kan. – The Friends University Falcons settled for a 0-0 draw with the Ottawa University Braves tonight (Oct. 23) at Adair-Austin Stadium.

The Falcons remain in the third spot in the KCAC at 7-2-1 in the league ahead of Saturday's massive matchup at current second-place Kansas Wesleyan University.

Keily Larosee had four shots and Lina Willemsen put in three shot attempts to help the Falcons hold an 11-7 edge in shot attempts. But the Braves outshot the Falcons 6-4 on-goal.

Both goalkeepers were solid throughout the scoreless tie, with Nia Baker making six saves for the Falcons (10-4-1, 7-2-1 KCAC) and Alondra Carbajal-Pettry recording four stops for Ottawa (1-9-4, 1-5-4 KCAC).

The shutout is the Falcons' eighth clean sheet of the season.

The Falcons' matchup at KWU Saturday (Oct. 26) is set for 2 pm in Salina, Kan.
