WICHITA, Kan. – A special Veteran's Day celebration is scheduled to coincide with the Friends University Football Falcons' regular season finale on Nov. 11 vs. Bethany College. Kickoff will be at 1 pm at Adair-Austin Stadium.

"It is our duty and pleasure to honor and recognize the many veterans we have here in the local area and region," said Dr. Rob Ramseyer, Friends University VP of Athletics and Strategic Expansion. "We look forward to a great turnout on Nov. 11 as we have many avenues planned to celebrate and thank our veterans for their service."

Veterans will receive discounted tickets at $5 with Military ID and will also receive a free hamburger.

A special recognition for veterans is also planned during halftime of the Falcons' game vs. the Swedes.

The Falcons, under second-year head coach Terry Harrison, are enjoying their best season in almost a decade and are currently 7-2 on the season ahead of Saturday's game (Nov. 4) vs. McPherson College at Riverfront Stadium.
