Hillsboro, Kan. – The 2023 season came to an end for the Friends University Falcons with a 3-0 setback to the Tabor College Bluejays today (Nov. 4) in Hillsboro, Kan.
The Falcons fell by scores of 25-15, 25-13 & 25-17.
Samantha Johnson led the Falcons with seven kills and Zoey Tauanu'u had a team-leading 16 assists. Antonia Perier (14 digs) and Anicia Tyson-Salas (10 digs) led the Falcon defensive effort.
Fiona Sampaio paced everyone with 16 digs for Tabor, while Emma Rhoades had a match-high 38 assists. Kenna Brandes had a team-leading 15 digs for the Bluejays.
The Falcons will now begin the offseason with an eye towards 2024, with all but three members of this season's regular rotation set to return.
