Wichita, Kan. – George Stephens Scholarship is awarded to a student athlete that has demonstrated leadership ability in academics and athletics.
In memory of George Stephens, the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference established the George Stephens Scholarship in 1997.
In order to be eligible for the Scholarship student athletes must have, a 96 cumulative hours, must be on track to graduate within 10 semesters, 3.0 GPA, two letters of recommendation, two varsity letters and must demonstrate leadership ability in academics and athletics.
Ryley Greenbaum of Friends University is the 2009 - 2010 recipient of the George Stephens Scholarship.
Greenbaum is a four year letterman for the Falcons and in the 2009 season earned First Team All Conference at fullback. He is majoring in health science and is currently applying for medical school.
Greenbaum is from Douglass, Kansas and is the son of Frank and Jeri Sue Greenbaum.
