Baseball Storms Back In KCAC Tournament
Falcons Win In Dramatic Fashion

After suffering a tough loss the night before in their first game of the KCAC post-season baseball tournament the Friends University Falcons entered game two on Thursday night against the University of St. Mary with a determination not to let this one slip away.

Unfortunately the first four innings of the game did not show well for the Falcons as St Mary jumped out to a 6-1 lead. But timely hitting and some solid defense brought the Falcons back. Designated hitter Mike Perry slammed a home run to spark the Friends University attack as the Falcons came back to tie the game 6-6. In the 9th inning Friends University had a chance to win the game with the bases loaded but a Mike Ponsole hit back to the pitcher resulted in a double play to end the inning.

The Falcons held the Spires in the top of the 10th inning, and when Friends University came to bat outfielder T.J. Lawless slammed a home run to end the game. The win places Friends University in an 11:00 a.m. game on Friday, May 1.
